Wentworth

This historic Spanish Mission Revival-style home had a number of mature olive trees throughout the property that the owners didn’t want to disturb.  Ultimately, we needed to figure out a way to tastefully incorporate a number of contemporary elements into the property: a pool and jacuzzi with an automatic pool cover, an outdoor kitchen and an additional bathroom and outdoor shower off of the detached garage.  After much deliberation, we found that the ideal layout for the fireplace patio and outdoor kitchen would wind up necessitating the remodel of the adjacent kitchen inside the main house, so that it would better connect to the exterior.  Given the amount of hardscape to be added, the owners still wanted a lush feel, hence the pool’s surrounding spaced flagstone with intermediary grass.
